Chamonix clears streets with tow truck and car pound

The on-going problem of abandoned cars and badly parked vehicles in Chamonix may soon be resolved, as the local Chamonix council are putting in place a dedica

ted tow truck and a car pound for this summer.

Complaints over the years of problem vehicles, either badly parked or abandoned, have concluded in the Chamonix council obtaining permission for a car pound and a matching tow truck. The car pound will accommodate 20 vehicles and the tow truck will be out clearing the streets very soon.

This should free up a number of car parking spaces in Chamonix but this service will only apply to public spaces and not private properties.
